Japan House / Giada DeLaurentis
Japan House is a kind of emissary to introduce Japanese culture into America. Japan House LA hired us to capture Food Network’s Giada DeLaurentis learning about fermented foods from a Michelen star chef from Tokyo. Originally meant to be in the same kitchen, logistics shifted and we filmed a zoom call between the two, with production set up in both Tokyo and LA. Somehow, we coordinated six cameras and two cinematographers, two translators, two audio engineers, two producers, and two culinary stars thousands of miles apart. Like a great meal, it magically came together. Giada signing our copy of her cookbook was the chef’s kiss.
